Daniel C. Wilcox, CPA

 

Dan was born and raised in this area, graduating from West Linn High School. After high school, and an enlistment in the Navy from 1966-1970 (including tours of duty in Australia (1967-1968) and Viet Nam (1968-1969)), Dan completed his higher education at Portland State University. He received a B.S. in Accounting in 1972. Dan entered the accounting profession with a local firm in Oregon City, where he worked from 1972-1985, the last five years as a partner in the firm.

 

Dan established his own firm in Canby in 1985, and has practiced in this community ever since. He has expertise in a variety of tax and accounting services including personal financial planning, estate planning, individual and business tax planning, business consulting and audits. His industry expertise included governmental and not-for-profit auditing, agriculture and small businesses.

 

Over the years, Dan has been active in the Canby community through his memberships in the Canby Rotary (past president) and the Canby Area Chamber of Commerce (past president and member of the board of directors for nearly ten years). He has served on the City of Canby’s Budget Committee, and is also a past president of the Canby Lions Club.

 

Dan’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Society of Tax Professionals.

 


Sabino Arredondo, CPA

 

Sabino received his B.A. in Accounting from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana in May of 1993. He joined Wilcox Arredondo & Co. upon his return to Oregon in 1993 and received his CPA certificate in 1995. Sabino was promoted to manager in June of 1998. Sabino became partner in October of 2001.

 

Sabino's primary areas of responsibility within the firm are audits, reviews and other financial statement preparation for municipalities and non-profit organizations, compliance audits, year end planning for family owned businesses as well as advising on initial incorporation of businesses and tax planning for both individuals and small businesses. His industry expertise includes school districts and other municipalities, non-profit organizations and agriculture.

 

An active member of the community, Sabino serves on the Woodburn Foursquare Church Board, Canby Business Revitalization and the Canby Kiwanis Foundation Board where he serves as Treasurer. He is also a member of the Canby Chamber of Commerce. His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Municipal Auditors Roster.

 

Sabino married his wife Kim on August 8, 1992. They welcomed their first child, Antonio Jose, in 2000. His personal interests include playing the Guitar and Bass, golfing, and more golfing. He also can speak, read and write Spanish.
